Trustees
Dr Eve Christine Gadzikwa
Eve has built an illustrious career across both the public and private sectors, culminating in her appointment as Director General and Board Company Secretary of the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) in September 2008. Over her tenure, she has gained extensive industry experience, leading a diverse team of professionals and representing SAZ with distinction on national, regional, and international platforms.
She has held several prominent leadership roles, including Past Chair of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) and Past Chair of the Institute of Directors Zimbabwe (IoDZ). At the continental level, Eve served as President of the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO), headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2016 to 2019, a period during which she played a pivotal role in advancing Africa’s standardisation agenda.
Eve continues to serve as an ARSO Council Member and Champion for Eastern and Southern Africa. She is currently leading Africa’s Standardisation Strategy & Roadmap for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, a transformative project developed in collaboration with ARSO and IEEE-SA (USA). In 2020, she was elected to the ISO Council, serving the global standardisation body for the 2021–2023 term.
A qualified and experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist (Bacteriologist), Eve is also a passionate writer and published her first book, “I Dare You to Lead,” in 2015. Her commitment to empowering women is reflected in her long-standing involvement with Rafiki Girls Centre, a Christian-based organisation supporting disadvantaged young women aged 17–25.
Eve is also a proud Rotarian and member of Harare CBD Rotary Club, actively contributing to community development and humanitarian initiatives.
Mr. Desmond Jairosi-Chipunza
Desmond is currently employed by Afrexim bank within the Board Secretariat Department. Prior to this role, he served as the Head of Conduct, Financial Crime & Compliance at Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe Limited until May 2021. His career in financial services spans over 16 years, with extensive experience across Corporate Governance, Company Secretarial practice, Legal Advisory, Ethics, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management, Compliance, Conduct Risk, and Financial Crime.
He spent a decade at Barclays Bank Zimbabwe Limited, beginning as Legal Counsel before rising to Head of Compliance. Desmond has also held key roles at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe and Genesis Investment Bank, further strengthening his regulatory and governance expertise.
A respected leader in the compliance profession, Desmond was the inaugural Chairperson of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe Compliance Committee. He is a founding trustee and the current Secretary General of the Compliance Society of Zimbabwe (CoSoZ), where he continues to champion the development of compliance standards and professional excellence.
Desmond has also been entrusted with significant pension governance responsibilities. He is the former Principal Officer of the Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe Pension Fund and currently serves as a Trustee for the Standard Chartered Bank of Zimbabwe Pension Fund.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB (Hons)) from the University of Zimbabwe and an MBA (Banking & Finance) from NUST. He is a Certified Compliance Professional, GRCM, and ERMF through the International Academy for Business and Financial Management (IABFM) and is also a certified Project Manager (Kim Consulting Group).
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Desmond enjoys social golf and currently serves as the Chairman of the Huni Golf Society, a vibrant community of over 150 golf enthusiasts.
Mr. Colin Mutambira
Mr. Colin Mutambira currently heads the Compliance Function at FBC Holdings Limited, where he also serves as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). He joined the financial services group in November 2007 as a Compliance Officer and, through dedication and strong professional performance, rose through the ranks to lead the entire Compliance Unit. Prior to joining FBC, Colin held various roles in retail and operations across both local and international banking institutions, giving him broad insight into financial sector operations and regulatory expectations.
He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Colin is a Certified Compliance Professional, having completed specialised training with the International Academy of Business and Financial Management in partnership with AMC International. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and is a fully accredited Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
Colin is deeply committed to advancing the compliance profession in Zimbabwe. He serves as a Trustee of the Compliance Society of Zimbabwe (CoSoZ) and is a past Chairman of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe Compliance Sub-Committee, where he played an instrumental role in shaping industry-wide compliance standards.
Ms. Sithuthukile Sibanda
Ms. Sithuthukile Sibanda is the Head of Compliance and Financial Crime (MLCO) at Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe Limited, a role she has held since joining the institution in October 2012. She is an experienced legal practitioner with more than 15 years of combined experience in both the public and private sectors.
Her career began in child rights advocacy, where she served as a Legal Officer for Justice for Children, providing legal support in both criminal and civil matters. She later joined the Judicial Services Commission as a Magistrate, gaining extensive experience in legal representation, adjudication, and the provision of legal advice across a broad spectrum of cases. This foundation has contributed significantly to her practical, analytical, and leadership strengths within the compliance field.
Ms. Sibanda holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking Law from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Honours) from the University of Zimbabwe. She is a Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) through the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (USA). She is also a registered legal practitioner with the High Court of Zimbabwe and a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe.
Recognised as a natural and hands-on leader, Ms. Sibanda has a proven track record in strategic planning, research, and advocacy. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and is an active sportswoman.
Mr. Lyndon Tuyani Nkomo
Lyndon holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB (Hons)) from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Communications Law from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Zimbabwe. He is a registered Legal Practitioner, Notary Public, and Conveyancer.
With more than 22 years’ experience in legal practice, corporate governance, and regulatory leadership, Lyndon has served in senior roles including Company Secretary, Legal Executive, and Regulatory Affairs Executive across various sectors. His expertise spans media and broadcasting law, telecommunications law, cyber law, corporate governance, and leadership ethics, areas in which he actively researches and publishes.
Lyndon also holds chairmanship and board directorship positions in several corporate, non-governmental, and educational institutions, contributing to strategic oversight and governance excellence.
He currently serves as the Head of Legal, Compliance and Issuer Regulation at the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and is the President of the Compliance Society of Zimbabwe (CoSoZ), where he leads national efforts to elevate compliance standards and professional ethics.
Mr. Gerald Katerere
Gerald is a corporate governance, risk and compliance specialist with more than 15 years’ experience in the financial services and consulting field. He previously worked for the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe dealing with financial crime and financial markets compliance.
He was instrumental in the shaping of the capital markets through the establishment of the central securities depository at Chengetedzai Depository Company. He has also worked as a consultant in South Africa assisting private and public entities to remediate regulatory enforcements and assisting new businesses with license applications.
Gerald is currently the Principal Consultant at Katsem Consulting (Pty) Ltd and Risk Manager at Quicktrade (Pty) Ltd. Gerald is a Certified Risk and Compliance Management Practitioner (CRMP) and approved Compliance Officer by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa.
He holds a master’s in finance and Investments and bachelor’s in risk management and insurance, all from NUST. He also attained a Diploma in Compliance from the International Compliance Association in the UK. He is a member of the Institute of Risk Management Southern Africa.
